Q: What is the HOT PINK CAKE STAND?
A: We are a bakery/coffee-tea shop with an open kitchen specializing in all things cake! Every day we serve made from scratch muffins, cupcakes, and cookies. We can bake any cupcake flavor in a layer cake or custom fondant decorated cake. We take orders for everything from a small 6" cake to a large wedding cake.
Q: What is an open kitchen?
A: An open kitchen means we make everything everyday right in front of you. From miniature cupcakes to wedding cakes, you can watch magic happen at the cake stand! The other thing it means is that we are very busy! You may see four of us behind the counter working but there may only be one person here to serve customers walking in the door. The rest of us are the people that are normally BEHIND closed doors and we are always under a deadline! Please don't be offended if we can't stop and help you...we aren't ignoring you!
Q: Do you always sell out?
A: No, but we often do sell out! We make everything from scratch every morning. I have adjusted the menu to try and be prepared for whatever business may walk in everyday. Often times we get unexpected rushes and end up selling out early. I recommend ordering if you know you know you need cupcakes!! Anything over one dozen should be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.
Q: How far in advance do I need to order a custom cake?
A: As far in advance as you can! Call and schedule a consultation with Jody to discuss the details of your special event cake. We are not booked on all days but we are rapidly filling our schedule. We are a small bakery, with a small staff and we bake from scratch every morning. We can only bake so much! The sooner you book your order the better your chance of us being able to accommodate your request.
Q: Why do I need a consultation to get a price on a custom cake?
A: There are several reasons I require a consultation. The main reason is to give you a block of time where I can focus my attention on the many details of the cake for your special day. Some flavors are more expensive to make and the price varies based on cake or filling flavors. The fondant decorations are all hand cut or hand made to order and based on the difficulty of the design the price can go up as well. It is impossible to quote this without a consultation. Our starting price is $6 a serving.
Q: Do you do parties?
A: Yes! We love parties! They are custom events! We host private parties on week nights after 6:00 PM or Sundays. Call the shop and ask for Jody to get a quote.
Q: Do you make products for Vegan, Gluten Free, or Sugar Free diets?
A: Yes, working on it, and not yet...We currently have one Vegan cupcake nearly everyday. Starting February 12th we are working on adding a Gluten Free option to our Friday and Saturday menu. Shortly we will add a Sugar Free option on Friday and Saturday as well.

A: Not yet.
